I have been writing for pleasure since childhood, although it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I took my first serious steps towards fulfilling my ambitions and signed up for a creative writing course. My major influences have been my family, friends and others who have impacted on my life in some way. Although I draw from real life for my inspiration, I do not write from a personal perspective ... that would be just too close for comfort. Instead I observe life ... people watch, eavesdrop,devour the sticky pages of the tabloid press, listen to gossip, whatever it takes...and I borrow other people's reality and manipulate it for my own ends...whilst remaining a thoroughly pleasant individual of course! To help me along my merry way I attend writing workshops and literature events. It's all just one long learning curve.
