S. A. Robinson grew up in rural Levant, Maine. In 1984 he was expelled from Orono High School for violating the State's blue laws by having a mohawk on a public street after 7 p.m. on a week night. He has wandered the country ever since, calling Portland Maine, Burlington, Vermont, Boston, Massachuesetts, Providence, Rhode Island, Phoenix, Arizona, Virginia Beach, Virginia, San Francisco, California, Kalaheo, Hawai'i, Hollywood and New York his temporary homes. His major influences came from early eighties hardcore punk bands, (the humor, anger and nihilism) and from the literary works of Nabokov, Marquez, Camus, Kyszynski, Miller and other such pretentious sounding authors.
