I have traveled most of our country as a salesman, been to several foreign countries, and have loved our own Alaska and Hawaii. Not having an opportunity for college, makeing up for it through reading and travel have given me motivation for writing.' After losing my first wife to cancer I was fortunate enough to meet a wonderful lady who took a chance on me over twelve years ago.  Writing is a resource that we all should take advantage of. I use it for balance of thought and a release of emotion. The bible has been a great influence for me as have such authors of the past as Shakespear  and  Charles Dickens,, as well as authors of the present like Patrick McManus,  Marshall Frank, Koontz, Keilor, Grisham; the list goes on and on, some are legends, some are not. I feel that all are better than I am, yet somehow I believe there is a place for me too.            

I have received some awards such as the Editor's Choice Award from poetry.com in January 2004,Award of Merit Certicicate from the World of Poetry in 1990, the Golden Poet of 1990 from World of Poetry but, none of these come close to the feeling that came over me when I found my first book in print, then the second and the third and now the twelth.
Writing for The Lakeside Post in Guntersville, Alabama, having written for the Pioneer in Inverness, Florida plus the writing done to interject thought into local papers through their editors has been stepping stones to today.
