Former newspaper reporter and journalist, novelist and development specialist, all wrapped into one.  This eclectic background shines through in his first novel to give it the richness that is bound to stand his writing out, sooner or later. He started  his career as a journalist reporting for many Nigerian newspapers during and after graduating from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism in Lagos.  And while still studying for his first degree in English Studies at the University of Ibadan (Nigeria's premier University), he continued writing newsreports and articles for some Nigerian newspapers.  He later edited a an evening newspaper in Benin City from 1987 to 1988. He stumbled as it were into development work in 1988 when he took up employment as programme assistant with the African-American Institute in Lagos, Nigeria.  And in 1991 he joined The Carter Center in administrative and programme support capacity.  He is still at The Carter Center Nigeria office in his present capacity as Manager, responsible for all aspects of programme support and administration with staff over 150 and spread throughout Nigeria.  He has attended various programme management training in Nigeria and overseas, including recently, Management for International Public Health (MIPH), conducted in Atlanta by Suistainable Management Development Center (SMDP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Emory UNiversity.  In his present capacity, he also liaises with government departments relevant to The Carter Center operations in Nigeria, including active invlovement in all aspects of  programme planning and implementation of the TCC's seven programmes in Nigeria.
