Margaret Roberts has experienced military life firsthand. Married to a retired United States Marine Corps Sergeant Major, Roberts resided most of her husband's active duty career in the California desert and developed a respect for the desert environment. Her first book of poems is evidence of her fascination with desert survival to the military lifestyle, particularly the life of a military wife. Desert Flowers: Poems of Love and Life is a labor of love that will be enjoyed by all who read it. Roberts is a retired government employee residing in Florida with her husband. She has a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons.
