Started writing and self-publishing in 2003.  In 2004, David was ranked the 2nd most underrated author of 2004 by www.myshelf.com  David Conlin McLeod writes mostly horror/vampire fiction or historical fiction.  He is often reviewed on www.myshelf.com His books are mainly influenced by the works of Stephen King, Anne Rice, Bram Stoker, Lemony Snicket, and others.  His writing style is his own, but often pays homage to Charles Dickens, Edgar Alan Poe, and even Hans Christian Anderson.  Currently he is an undergraduate student at Eastern Connecticut State University pursuing his bachelors degree in history and social sciences with a minor in Asian Studies.  He plans to be an elementary school teacher. David has published 9 books, including While the Wolves Cry, voted Top 10 Read of 2007 on www.myshelf.com by screenplay writer and reviewer, Kristin Johnson.  This book was also voted #29 Best Read of 2007 by Editors and Predators as well.
