Denise is full of surprises. Her family of four children and seven grand children and soon eight great-grandchildren are now used to hearing "Want to read my latest creation?"

Information
Denise is an Australian writer though she was born in Poland. She came to Australia in 1949 as a child. She lived and studied in New South Wales and Victoria.
After meeting her future husband in 1952 she stayed in Melbourne and was married in 1956.
In late 1999, after returning from her first visit to Poland since leaving the country during the war, she began writing with the aim to publish her work. Denise had "always" written poetry
and had been copywriting as a hobby/good deed for others ever since she was twelve years of age and it became clear that this was her real goal in life.
Since then, her poetry has appeared (in English and Polish) in anthologies, magazines and newspapers in Australia, the USA and Poland. Her first book of poems REFLECTIONS was published in 2005.
Denise also writes Short Story Fiction.
However, poetry has been her love as long as she can remember. The collection of poems accumulated only reaches back to 1978 (the rest has disappeared in the process of moving house 36 times), and would be too numerous to display here.
She loves sitting well into the night when the house is quiet and still, gliding her fingers over the keys, never knowing what she will write next.

Her work has appeared in both English and Polish, in anthologies, magazines ad newspapers.

'Your Life' - in an anthology 'Pearls of the Past', for which the Editor's Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry was presented by the International Library of Poetry.
'Bluey Day' was published in the local press promoting an event raising funds for Cancer Kids.
Another poem 'Polskie Kwiaty' was published in the Polish weekly newspaper 'Tygodnik Polski' in Melbourne.
Seeing 'Passion of the Christ' had moved her so deeply that 'Jesus, My Lord' was concieved and published here in Australia and a translated version appeared in a Church Magazine in Poland.
REFLECTIONS a collection of poems was published in November 2005. It was launched at the Dandenong Library, Melbourne, Australia.
The tedious task of translating her collection of poetry from REFLECTIONS is completed.
