One of my earliest memories is of my parents reading out loud to me, something they did frequently.  They instilled in me my love of reading and of art and encouraged my voracious appetite for books.  I worked for a time as a Nanny.  Then I entered the workforce as an office assistant, first for an investment group, then for a real estate broker.  I just thought this is what you did, you went out and got a job, became part of the daily grind.  Work to live - not live to work, if you know what I mean.  Its not that I hated what I did for a living...its not like I loved it either.  After a stint as an art teacher for homeschool kids, my art business took off spontaneously.  That was just the beginning of a new life for me. I didn't even consider writing, however, until my husband started to encourage me.  I was always telling him stories that I had "rolling around" in my head.  Once I started putting them to paper, they just started to pour out of me more and more.  It was as if the dam had been removed and the natural flow of my pen released to run as it was meant to all along.  What a joy to be able to add my own pictures and self - illustrate as well.  I feel truly blessed to be able to do what I love and love what I do!

I just got my first (of hopefully many) children's book published!
