I began writing many years ago, for myself. When I was living in Gush Katif during the first Intifada the tension made me wonder how people had the courage to live in places like that in the years before there was an army to protect them. I remembered the story of what had happened at Kfar Etzion and decided to try and understand it through writing about it.
