Sandra Martins-Toner is the Founder and Executive Director of Families Against Crime & Trauma, (F.A.C.T.), an organization born as a result of the random and senseless murder of her sixteen year old son. Sandra now works tirelessly to help others that have lost a loved one to a violent crime. Her articles appear regularly in magazines and online publications across Canada.

Information
As a mother of a murdered child, I have seen first hand the devastation caused by these senseless acts of violence. I began to notice quickly that there were no resources for the families left behind in the aftermath of the crime.
I wanted to be able to reach out to others, and in doing so I founded an organization called Families Against Crime & Trauma, (F.A.C.T.). I now stand alongside hundred of families looking to see changes made to the Criminal Justice System, and the treatement of victims/families.
By sharing my sons life and tragic death, I have found a way to cope with the pain that ensued.
