Born in a family of nine kids, made A's in High School and College, spent 3 years in Army Security Agency with Top Secret/Cryptographic Clearance, Traveled extensively with my martial arts, have 498 published magazine articles in various karate magazines, was "Golden Voice" of karate for years after spending 2 years as a radio announcer, Also sang professionally with my brother, Hap for 17 months as Two Guys and a Guitar. Love chess, gin, pinochle and a lot of other games. Married to Jane Rutherford for 13 years, divorced and now married to Linda Ragland-Lee for 10 years with 3 great children, Sean, Melissa and Eric and 4 wonderful step-children, Rick Lee, Shane Lee, Ge'Lin Lee Banks and Jack Lee Thirteen grandchildren and very special daughter-in-laws and son-in-laws. Eight great brothers and sisters and the best mom in the land. Served as Mesquite's Wellness Fitness Instructor for 9 years and taught Tae Kwon Do and Jujitsu at the Q Club (now 24 hour fitness) for 3 years. Have taught creative writing classes at Poteet High School's continuing education night program and at Garland Senior Citizen's Center. Have enjoyed a 37 year career in Martial arts where I was Southern California's MAN OF THE YEAR in 1977, am in "Who's Who in American Karate-2nd Edition" have garnered dozens of plaques and awards for 'Outstanding Contribution to Karate' and with a 7th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and an 8th In Jujitsu, I am the founder of ISS-HOGAI,An American Jujitsu, which is a certified style through AKATO(American Karate and Tae Kwon Do Organization) of Texas. Just inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Aug 2003 for my Jujitsu system. Due for my 8th Dan in TKD in August of 2004. Who would have thunk it from a guy who only joined karate for some exercise.

Had my first book published in 2002. Black Hawk about the Sauk war chief of the same name in Abraham Lincoln's day. Chief Black Hawk is my great, great, great, great grandfather. My second book, Limpy, a western set in 1905 Wyoming hopefully will be published early in 2003 by PublishAmerica. I am already rewriting Bayard, my great story about the French Knight in the 14th Century, with several other books to be ready in the next two years. Would not mind finding a GOOD agent to share in the benefits with me. I feel that I am fortunate in that I can write both books and screenplays. Some of my other project that I am redoing and hope to have ready soon are His Brother's Keeper (screenplay), Moranbong (screenplay) Nosslived (screenplay) The Pigeon and the Kid (Screenplay) The Last Desperate Mile (book), There are others and I would probably make novels and screenplays out of all of them. But first I have to sell something so that I can concentrate only on writing instead of working my part time job to pay for my Blazer like I have to do now.. Naked Steel and Righteous Kill ( adventure/action), His Brother's Keeper (cop vs Terrorist), Last Despereate Mile (industrial spies), Moranbong (military thriller) and If You Only Believe (story of telekenesis) are just some of my projects that I am revamping. I want to have 6 books and 3 screenplays and 2 movies out by 2004. I will do it too. Began Rowlett Writer's Workshop in April 2004 and it is going great guns at the Rowlett Library.
