Gail Marie Jones was born in Valdosta, Georgia where she currently resides. Gail is known as an author and renown storyteller in Metro Valdosta and surrounding areas. She is the author of two great titles "Mama Said" & the Remember When series "A Stroll down Memory Lane."

Gail's inspiration for writing comes from the forgotten life lessons, words of wisdom, history and heritage from her elders. She believes we should savor the days when love, caring, self-respect, character and integrity were the most valuable gifts in life!

Accomplishments
Founding member of the Southside Library Boosters where she served as President and later Vice President. Coordinator for the annual Juneteenth and Kwanzaa celebrations for several years at Southside Library. She is also a hospice volunteer and volunteer for the Break Bread Ministry which delivers meals to the elderly in her community.
