I worked for many years in State Fostercare as a theraputic fosterparent. The lives of these children, the history of their parents, and the trauma that they suffered has given me some insight into the workings of man. The cruelty, the indifference, the misguided love, etc. has created many ficticious characters for my books. I have always enjoyed writing but have only within the past year had the time to do it seriously. My first book, Lies, In a Season of Tribulation, has characters that I have drawn from several of the personalities that I worked with. The training that I have had in the different emotional disorders gave me insight into how one of my characters should behave. For my main characters, I drew from my family and friends with a liberal pouring of imagination.
