Six Stages of Forgiving others grew out of the variety of counseling and conflict resolution roles in which a pastor is often thrust.  Left to our human resources, we are either frustrated by the prospect of forgiving others and find it so hard to do.  Or, we give up and tell ourselves the old lie that we should "just forget about it,"  but we never do.  Discovering how God grows forgiveness for others within us has liberated me from endless grudges and others from be strapped to the past.  Marriages cannot flourish without growth in the grace of forgiving others and neither can any other human relationships.  God offers sufficient grace that we need to become prolific forgivers.
