KD has been a mystery fan since childhood when she discovered Nancy Drew. Since then she's devoured every mystery book she could beg, borrow or buy, some days choosing a new book over lunch if there was only money for one or the other. Her favorite authors are Dick Francis, Robert Crais, Jim Butcher, Laura Lippman, and well, the list could just go on and on. She's always thought no one opened a novel or created more likable character than Dick Francis, and strives for the day her skills reach that level. If her every writing wish could come true, she'd create characters like Dick Francis, make people laugh like Janet Evanovich and learn to do magic like Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden.
