As a very shy child--in a very UNshy family, the local library was my sanctuary. Within the worlds of fiction, I found my home -- the place where I was never alone, never lonely. I could -- but was not required -- to be anyone but myself. I could make easy, but true friends. I was free. Free to fly to other worlds.... to travel across time. As a writer, I speak especially to those in search of home. My characters, find themselves standing in the shadows; on the outside of life's circle -- until they discover that they can transform their world -- by shifting the light by which they perceive it. It is my hope that, in joining my characters on their journey of transformation, reader will remember that they too have the power to shift light, change perspective... The 'circle' might not be where we are heading - but that place from which we are liberated. Perhaps, we who stand on the outside of the circle, need only turn our eyes-to see that we actually stand at the threshold of the Universe....
