For years I've been making up bedtime stories for my children - some short stories, and some long stories that took over a year to tell.  My family has encouraged me many times to write them down and publish them.  So now I am! I have always admired and enjoyed the works of C.S. Lewis and Tolkien and other fantasy writers, and find the reading of legends, myths and fairy tales fascinating and fun. Researching the old stories of different cultures and incorporating them into a book series has been challenging and enjoyable, and the first book is so long that I've turned it into a trilogy... the first trilogy of many, I think.  The entire series is called "The McGunnegal Chronicles" and begins in the mid 1840's in Ireland, where a poor family discovers a secret buried under their potato farm - a secret that catapults them into the lands of legend and gives them insight into why they possess such extraordinary abilities.
