Unravelling the mysteries found in history is my passion. As a descendent of a long line of Philadelphians, I have a sense of being able to time travel through my writing. When I walk the cobblestone streets of my neighborhood of Society Hill, I can't help but feel my fictional characters' presence beside me. I'm also a determined advocate for social justice, and seek to expose the evil underbelly of the Victorian city in my novels. Prior to becoming an author, I worked in New York city as an actress. The training I received helps me enter my characters' psyches and souls. Martha Beale, my protagonist, has become my alter-ego.
