(Richard M. Feldman) Ever since I was a young boy, the only thing I wanted to be was a cowboy. I wanted to own and work on a real ranch, with cattle and horses. Especially horses.

I have always lived in Texas, attended cosmetology and later a local community college. I have one son and one step-son, who are a great support in all of my endeavors. I am a proud grandmother of two wonderful grandsons.

Taking Life By The Reins, is a memoir of love, loss, & faith. I take you through my life of difficult paths. From my first husband being killed in a gun accident. My second marriage of chaos between two people who had a past that could ruin our future together. Two stubborn people who blamed each other instead of taking a hard look at themself. Many years later and forgiveness was given, the marriage flourished. Curtis was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2003. Each and everyday of the next three years was filled with pain, saddness, and difficulties. If anything could go wrong it did for the two troopers who were determine to battle this ruthless disease. In 2006, Curtis lost his battle with cancer. The words spoken to Sandy was, "You move on with your life. My life is ending, but yours has not." Once again Sandy starts to rebuild her life.
