My name is Annette Reid. I live in Alabama. I am a Nurse. In my 23 years of Nursing, I have met several domestic violence victims and survivors. My first book: Domestic Violence the Disease, The Sara Farraday Story, gave me an opportunity to combine several horrific stories together in order to create a fictitious character by the name of Sara Farraday. This story was published last year by Createspace. It has done very well with readers from ages 12 and up. I wanted to capture what it feels like to be in a domestic violence relationship. The pain, the anger and the feelings of being trapped, simply flowed right on to the pages of this incredible story. Evidently, it worked. When I speak at different engagements or community activities, my readers want to know, "where is the second book?" They have given Sara Farraday a life of her own. They want to know what happens to her as she continues to struggle down the pathway of life. Many of my readers are women. They can really relate to this character. My second book: The Nightmare of Sara Farraday has been published. My readers can continue their journey in this intense, dramatic fiction, filled with mystery and suspense. This story is a sequel to my first book.  I also write short stories and blog for web sites such as, Shewrites and I'm_Safe. My dream is to help others and to actually see one of my stories become a film on the big screen one day.
