A. Titus spent the majority of her young life living in foster home after foster home, dealing with pressures and situations most children could never fathom.  It wasn’t until she reached the age of ten where she would reach her final placement resulting in a successful adoption.  It was here that she would gain a deep thirst for the arts and would delve into the world of writing.  Her adopted father, a creative man himself founding a company called Creative Ideas, encouraged his new young daughter to pour her heart and soul into her writing.  After finishing what she thought were several great stories he (her adopted father) would eagerly send them off to publishing companies, only to have them rejected because of her age and lack of experience.  It was after an unfortunate situation that Ms. Titus refused to put pen to paper and stopped writing for several years.  Following the birth of her second child, she discovered whilst moving several of her original writing pieces and decided then that it was time.  After a rocky start and several moves later, she has completed her first novel, The Kindness of Strangers, where she discusses issues rarely talked about today; issues such as incest and rape, physical abuse and homelessness.  Following true, the advice given by her adopted father, Ms. Titus wrote from the heart depicting scenarios in which she and others she knew had experienced.  After a lot of encouragement and advice from several close friends and family members, Ms. Titus is eager to publish this story in hopes it will be an inspiration to other young girls and women who may have dealt with the situations the characters in her book experience.  If these brave young girls and women learn to move on from their past and slowly break those emotional walls down, they too can enjoy life and embrace others the way life is intended to be.  Beyond Ms. Titus’ past, she is married and more importantly, a mother of three young children.  She currently resides in Taunton, MA.
