Lindsay Bonilla is a graduate of Northwestern University, where her studies focused on theatre, creative dramatics, storytelling, and world religions. Her career in the theatre includes experience in performance, teaching, directing, and script-writing. Lindsay has performed with various theatre companies in Ohio as well as with Interacting, an audience-participatory theatre company, in Madrid, Spain. With Interacting she toured Spain and Portugal developing and using interactive theatre shows to teach English to students from pre-school to adult. In 2008 Lindsay founded her own interactive touring theatre and storytelling company, World of Difference, Ltd., which aims to introduce audiences to other cultures while sparking the imagination and promoting a love for reading and folklore. With World of Difference, Ltd., Lindsay has performed at venues across Ohio as well as in Michigan, New York, and even Haiti. In 2010, Lindsay partnered with Little Beth Entertainment to write, co-produce and star in the film, Flight to India (based on her interactive performance of the Indian folktale, “The Monkey and the Crocodile”), which will be available on DVD in 2011. An avid writer, her first children's book, “Lily and the City of Light,” was released for publication by Guardian Angel Publishing in October 2010, and two others are scheduled to be released in the coming year. Lindsay’s passion for learning about other cultures has taken her to 5 continents, and she continues to look for opportunities to visit new, exciting countries where she can learn new stories. Lindsay earned her TEFL certificate in 2004, and her K-12 teaching license in 2006. Lindsay is a freelance writer for such publications as The War Cry and Priority! Magazine and resides in North Canton, OH.   My Writing Influences and those who encourage my writing Include: My parents, my husband, personal experiences, my Christian faith (many ideas for my works have come from direct inspiration), world folktales, the Bible, animals and nature, holidays, and too many other things to count!  I am inspired to write about the things I am wrestling with, lessons I'm learning, the things that don't make sense or frustrate me, the things that bring me joy, and on and on. . .
