Michelle is a contributing writer at The Buzz Insider (thebuzzinsider.com) and is the Assistant Opinion Director for her university's online and print newspaper, The Beacon. She was bit by the writing bug at a very young age and started writing her first novel, Protector, in middle school and published it at the age of 15. She is currently working on her second novel and aspires to one day have one of her books made into a motion picture as one of her other interests is filmmaking.  Michelle's parents have been very supportive of her dream to be a writer.

Michelle has recently accepted an invitation from her university to join the nation's largest leadership honor society, The National Society of Leadership and Success and is a member of the Golden Key Honour Society for being in the top 15% of her university class. She is also a member of The National Society of High School Scholars, an honor society that recognizes top academic achievers from high schools worldwide. She won Honorable Mention in a Scholastic Writing Competition and was recommended by her teachers in 2006, 2009, and 2011 to participate in the People to People Student Ambassador Program to travel and study abroad. She was also nominated for the 2008-2009 Who’s Who Registry of Academic Excellence Middle School Edition.
