I am currently working in the field of Information Technology. I've formerly pursued a variety of endeavours, the most significant of which was a stint as a geosciences professional, which allowed me the chance to work far afield, namely in the Great Canadian North, the United States, Mexico and West Africa. My favourite writers include Dickens, Wilkie Collins, Zola, Dostoyevsky, Poe, and Hemingway. I enjoy writing, drawing, sculpting, and collecting classic DVD's. The artists I admire the most are Charles Dickens and Akira Kurosawa, because of their deep humanity, and the breadth of their genius. I currently write under several pen names. I've self-published 2 titles with Amazon's CreateSpace under the pen name of Alfred Allen, and Double Dragon Publishing has published two of my novels, under the pen name of John Speeking.
