Tobias A. Fox       The way we express our thoughts and ourselves to others is important for better comprehension.  Conveying ideas and mental pictures to the highest degree is author Tobias A. Fox.  Born in Newark and raised in East Orange, New Jersey, Fox writes straight from his Spirituality about personal feelings that he magically transforms into stories.       Beginning his writing prowess at the age of nineteen, Fox was in disbelief after a scribbling of his first poem.  The thirty-six-year-old artist began his penmanship after the tragic loss of his mother when he was sixteen, and then his younger brother (who was sixteen) just a year later.  "All sorts of emotions were going on in my head at that time and the poetry and short stories were my outlet as well as a healing process for me," states Fox.         Developing a journal with all his creative mental inventions, Fox decided to pursue writing as a career and later attended Montclair State University located in Montclair, New Jersey, majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing.  However, due to personal matters he was forced to put his education on hold.         It was not until the summer of 2006 when Fox decided it was time to pick up where he left off and applied to Essex County College.  His commitment and dedication to learning as well as succeeding comes out in his daily lifestyle whether it is at work, school or home.  Each day Fox puts his best foot forward and gives 110 percent toward achieving his goals.  This was clearly demonstrated at Essex County College, where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society and continued to maintain a 4.0 grade point average.  This was also the case at the City College of the city University of New York upon completing a Publishing Certificate Program also with a 4.0 grade point average.       For nearly ten years Fox has been a mentor to youth offenders through the non-profit community arts organization Creative Spirits of the State of New Jersey and received numerous awards including proclamations from the Township of Irvington, and East Orange for overcoming tremendous odds, and an Essex County College Returning Scholar Scholarship.  He is also the co-author of the memoir Dirty Justice: Who Killed Mommy with Keith Lynch; the novels Dancer's Paradise: An Erotic Journey, At Midnight: Choice Fowler's Story and short story collection, The E Collection: A New Definition of Erotica with Terry W. Benjamin.  The writing duo formed nHouse Publishing, LLC, an independent, English language trade publishing company based in Newark, New Jersey.       "I knew I wanted to make a difference in the world and, If possible, leave behind a legacy," states fox.  Overcoming tremendous odds has made his will to succeed even stronger.       The proud father of three has always been an inspiration to others from socially disadvantage backgrounds, especially people residing in urban communities.
