A former teacher, Marianne Stephens loved reading biographies and "got hooked" on romance novels. She began reading regency romances, especially those written by Barbara Cartland and Georgette Heyer. Soon after, she ventured into reading contemporary, paranormal, and erotic romance books. The urge to try writing a book gave her the determination to do so...with a major failure of a first book! She joined Romance Writers of America and Mid-American Romance Authors where she learned the skills and techniques needed to be a successful romance author. She loves writing that "happily-ever-after" ending for her romance books. Writing ghostwritten nonfiction memoir and autobiography books gives her the opportunity to "get into her subject's head" and write true, life stories.  This path of writing is definitely rewarding. Marianne writes short stories with three anthology groups: Naughty Literati, Sensuous Romances, and Romance Books '4' Us.
