"Jeremy's cabin," a mystery/suspense short story was first published in the summer of 2000 by Writershood, a popular online magazine, and was chosen by editor Charles King as best mystery short story of that year. It was again published by Writershood in the summmer of 2001.

"Paying the Piper" first appeared in February of 1998, published by Crossroads, a horror magazine.

"Beast of Willowbend" was also published in 1998, by The Harrow, a nonprofit online reviewed literary magazine devoted to publishing original and complete works of fantasy and horror.
