Her short stories and essays have been published in national periodicals and literary journals, earning nine first-place awards. Information
War and revolution in China shaped my early life up to age 18. Italy was an improvement because there was no war but I earned a terrible living for the five years I lived there. San Francisco after that was heaven. Then Brazil, where I found myself a corporate wife. Being hungry in China and Italy was useful only as grist for my books and short stories.
