Always wanted to write an exciting novel and over many years I have created a stunning novel,focusing on the latter years of the Cold War and the frantic competition between the two Super Powers, America and Russia, to gain superiority in the nuclear arms race. The travels which my wife and I made  many years ago, particularly in Central and South America, are woven into the plot in Part 3 of the story whereas Parts 1 and 2 are centered on the UK and France. A former World War Two American base on Dartmoor in the South West of England is where the Americans are storing their new incredibly destructive micro-missile and this area of the country is well known to me. There is a desire to expose these powerful war lords and the feeling of fear and uncertainty  which they engendered was very strong in the anti- war movement which was very strong and vocal in the UK and in other countries at this dangerous period of our recent history. As a language teacher of French and Spanish I also wanted to bring in an element of 'foreign' communication between some of those involved in the story to add an international flavour.

I have an Honours Degree in Education and French from the University of Exeter in South West England and was also an Associate member of The Institute of Linguists in the UK.
