Retired US Intelligence officer with operational experience in SE Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Horn of Africa and the US.  Co-founded Phoenix Consulting in 1990 which provided intelligence training and consulting services to commercial and government entities through 2009 when the firm was sold to DynCorp International.  Along the way, and in an attempt at the Demystification of Spookdom, numerous articles, books (either mine or in collaboration with others), radio and television appearances have brought me out of the quiet life and into a previously unimagined and largely unwanted public life.  A small price to pay for the blessing of being able to be of service to literally thousands of intelligence professionals who our organization has trained over the decades.
