Born in Brooklyn, New York, Olyn Warfield now resides in Richmond, Virginia. Poet and author, she lives with her loving husband and has one daughter. Her objective through her Omar Blue Saga, which includes "Led By An Eagle" and "Omar Blue and K-9 Town, USA," is to reach out to families, avid readers and dog lovers of all ages, offering hours of reading entertainment.  Accompanied by her daughter Joy, Olyn offers special entertainment to hospitals and other facilities for children and adults with special needs, and seniors in assisted living communities. Their events include the reading of her books, stories and poetry, and a host of gifts and surprises. An activist against animal cruelty, Olyn belongs to several volunteer groups and participates in many fundraising activities geared towards animal good health and well being, helping to raise thousands of dollars each year. A project most dear to her is a fundraiser she has coordinated for the last nine years. A talent showcase dubbed "Pampering Tots" with proceeds going towards the purchase of disposable diapers for babies in her community. Quite the busy bee, Olyn's love for writing and gardening are equal. She loves the peace, creativity and personal satisfaction brought about by both. 

My greatest achievements are the completion of my two novels, my many poems and short stories. I haven't come far by any means but I never dreamed of being a true writer. My certifications are from those who write and/or tell me how much they love my work and encourage me to do more. My awards are the "re"wards I get each time I read for a group and can see the enjoyment in their eyes.
