Having spent some years abroad teaching English as a foreign language, Iain Manson now lives in London, England.
He has written dozens of articles for newspapers and magazines on both sides of the Atlantic, on subjects as diverse as boxing, poaching and astronomy. Publications which have carried his work include The Guardian, History Today and The Ring.
Amongst the writers who have most influenced him are Charles Dickens, George Orwell, Graham Greene and Kingsley Amis. He refuses to write the same book twice, and his own style varies depending on subject matter.
