Hello Everyone! My name is Bertha Connally Abraham. Once retired, I escaped into an amazing world of possibilities and now sit eagerly perched on a ledge of wonder. Awestruck by nature, perhaps for the first time, I feel inspired. My lunch sack and a cup of coffee still come with me each morning and wait as I nervously press my fingers upon the keyboard. I search for right words, any words. Sometimes they burst forth like new mercy and other days the blank page stares back at me dumfounded at my determination. Finally, I enjoy what I do! How incredible is that!? Born Bertha Connally, I grew up in Colfax, Louisiana, a small southern town in the central part of the state. Its infamous claim will forever rest in the sad events of the "Colfax Riot" of 1873. Writing became a passion early in my childhood. Later in life, work and responsibility took precedence. MistakenIy, I shut the door to a world I thought come not bring me fulfillment. Proven wrong, these last few years exceed my expectations.     Many lessons taught and learned stay with me. One thing I try not to forget.  In his will I am filled to capactiy but,on the outside I am an empty vessel. My first book, If only for a Season was released in 2010.
