Most writers and artists are influenced by the life they live and the challenges they face in this unpredictable world we live in.   I was 15 when my parents separated.  I began writing Poetry and have never stopped. My sometimes fun and zany tales were a way of escaping a sad childhood.  At twenty I began penning more stories than poetry.  My first published piece went to the Post Journal, a local newspaper in Jamestown, N.Y.  It was on the subject of recycling, and they snatched it up as our country at that time was just beginning the whole recycling craze. My first paid piece went to the Good News Paper a few years back.  They bought it over the phone without any knowledge of it or its content. Then a magazine later picked up the same piece based on my newspaper success.  I have sold numerous stories to magazines across the U.S. and now my work is International with my short stories in Portugal (floydthedog.com book club) and Cyprus (Creature Features-Book)   My first E-book  short story: "Royal Ferdinand"  was published recently through Solstice Publication.  Seen HERE I couple my writings with my artwork.  It is Digital Photography.  I now display art pieces at galleries and libraries. Recently I have gotten involved in speaking and sharing at retirement homes, libraries, schools and club venues. See samples of work and more HERE.    

I have many signed contracts for my stories, poems, and artwork.
I received an official certificate for a poem sent to the troops in Afghanistan called "Wooden Soldiers". I also sent along many stories for their entertainment.
