Marykay Moore came from a strong loving Irish Catholic Family. She entered religious life at the young age of 18 and spent many happy years teaching children in the elementary schools. She also spent several years as Principal of a K-5 school. After 24 years in the Notre Dame Order, she transferred to a Cloistered Monastery of the Poor Clares for 6 years. After 30 years in religious life, she felt compelled by God to leave to accomplish more for Him in the world. She worked in a parish as Director of Religious Education for 4 years, an assistant pastor at an Evangelical Lutheran church, and finally an ordained pastor in a non-denominational church. Marykay served as a retreat speaker in 6 countries overseas. She was certified as a Life Purpose Coach, a Spiritual Director, and Biblical Counselor. Marykay became part of a team called Women of Passionate Purpose working to encourage and exhort women everywhere and help them find their voice in the area of Writing and Speaking and Marketing. She also took writing courses, started her own writing group, and wrote her memoir Stepping Out- Nun No More, published by Xulon Press. She is presently working on her next book and encouraging others to reach their dream of publishing their book, articles or poems. Her mission is to encourage and exhort women to find value, significance, and worth...to lead them to love Jesus and His Word.
