Trying to talk about the motivations behind my writing, sometimes that's the hardest thing to put into words. I love to write what's funny, what comes off the top of my head throughout the day. I'm often opinionated about what's going on in the world, or what I'm watching across the street. Plus, I might tell a tale or two about how my day is going if it is at all interesting. But, my novels seem to come from anywhere and everywhere. A Danger to Society is somewhat biographical. When You Miss Me is a children's book I first wrote for my daughter when her mother and I went our separate ways. Now, I'm working on several novels at the same time while I'm promoting my children's book. The novels are at such extremes in genre that it's hard to literally know where the motivation comes. I can look at a tree swaying in the breeze and have a story. I can drive by an old store in the middle of nowhere and come up with some fictitious history about it without knowing a thing. My mind works wonderfully that way and the only thing I worry about is the day that it stops...
