Background
Information
I wrote this book after I gave birth to my son, which was also the time I decided to become a stay-at-home-mom. One evening while I was sitting with my son, I decided to check my work email. For some reason I still had access to my work email account and simply wanted to see what was going on with a few clients I had left behind.
As I read through the work email, which contained various status updates of different clients, I noticed that one of my prior clients had returned. To see that one of my most successful clients had returned infuriated me. I was upset and disappointed and blamed myself for her return. I thought that maybe I blamed the abuser too much and didn't let her know that she has the power to change her future. Maybe I should have explained that bad relationships not only come from dating the wrong man, but are also influenced by the decisions we make before, during and after the relationship.
While I thought about her, I began to write the many things that I wanted all women to know about bad relationships. I wrote what I had learned from various situations and people I met along the way. I want this book to be a guide that will lead women to healthy relationships, because bad relationships are produced out of the bad decisions we make along the way.
This book is like a friend who will give you their honest opinion without sugar-coating the truth. This book has been made out of the love and compassion I have for women who have been hurt and don't want to be another victim. This is my first book, but it is not my last. Thank you for reading.
