In 2004, she met best-selling author, Nicholas Sparks, who inspired her to write her own novel. In 2005, while living in a small apartment in Fullerton, California, Jennifer's cable and internet was shut off due to her dire financial situation. As fate would have it, this was when she got the idea to sit down at her computer and start writing a book. Thus, she began working on her first novel entitled, Gunning Down Romance. After shopping the novel around to agent to agent with no success, she started writing her second novel, Forever Blue in 2007. In the midst of her novel writing aspirations, Jennifer wrote freelance articles on love and relationships for numerous publications. In February 2011, her debut novel, Forever Blue was picked up by Amazon's trade paperback company and published as an eBook. It is slated to be released as a paperback in September 2011. The sequel, Forever Blue: Old Songs to Sing, New Tears to Cry, will be released as an eBook in February 2012.
