Jane Hale lives on the Hale Family Farm near Buffalo, MO. She and her late husband, Bob, have four sons, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Much of her writing is a refletion of her world. She is active in the family business, Hale Fireworks LLC. Her nickname, the Firecracker Lady, appears on a 500 gram shell with her picture. She owns and operates "Hale's Crossing" a mall which houses her bussinesses, "Time Out Cafe" and Hale Sportswear and rentals. Since 1993, she has written a weekly column in "County Courier." She is a member of many writers organizations. She served as VP/Conference Director and President of Missouori Writers Guild. She is a charter member and President of Ozark Writers' Inc.who's goal is to promote the work of authors from the Ozarks area. Through their efforts they have been instrumental in having four volumes of Mysteries Of The Ozarks published. She has a short story in each of them. Her son, Mitch, has a short story in Vol III and IV. Her publications range from children's mysteries to adult thrillers. She is constantly finding new avenues for her writing such as writing introduction poems for pageants. Her motto is "why be less when you can be more."  

Jane enters her writing in contests and has won many awards. Her books have been selected for recognition in the Missouri Writers Guild. Her columns are a part of Missouri history archives.
