I began reading early and have not been able to put a book down since.  I started with the Laura Ingalls Wilder series, moved on to the normal preteen stories and continued onto horror as a teenager.  In college I studied romance languages and was exposed to classical French and Spanish literature.  I continued to study literature while completing my Master's degree.  I have learned to appreciate the art that is classical literature but I also enjoy losing myself in made up fictional worlds and I enjoy a good scare!  My personal preference is a good vampire story.  Among my favorites are the Twilight series and Vampire Academy, but I also enjoy reading new authors that fall into the paranormal genre.  It is my love of a great story that led me to write.  After two and a half years and much work I am on the cusp of publishing my first novel, Immortal Storm - Book 1 of the Shield of Night Series.  Be on the lookout for it in late March 2012!
