Information
I thought when I was in college that I wanted to be a writer. Then I decided I didn't have any life experience. So I went off and got about 30 years worth.
I became a lawyer, then a politician, then a lobbyist, then a bureaucrat, then a trial lawyer. In the meantime, I got married and raised a couple of children.
When I hit 50, instead of buying a red sports car, I got back to writing and playing blues guitar. Now that the kids are out of the house, I have plenty of time to do both, while I continue to pay the bills lawyering.
Never been happier.
Writing instruction always includes the invocation, "write from the heart." That comes easier to some than others. I've found it to be easier than it ought to be. I hope you'll see that it shows in my work.
