I am of Mexican-American descent and grew up in Texas.  I believe these are the two major influences in my life.  However, I have lived in New York City, Arlington, Virginia, and Anchorage, Alaska, (all over the map) and, when taken together with all my travels, I believe I have gained a broad perspective.  Besides all of my work experiences, I have been single, married, divorced, a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a grandmother, and have learned much from all of these roles.  I have also been a voracious reader all my life and recently decided that I would like to be an author as well.
