A world flourishes outside my window. Through it travel bears, deer, turkeys, rabbits, groundhogs, and countless other animals. Normal 0 0 1 96 548 4 1 672 11.768 0 0 0 Sometimes they seem to appear in order to tell me to stop working and start watching. Other times they seem to be saying, "Put this in your book." Mostly, though, I think they are celebrating the joy of their lives and setting a good example for me. I love to see them. They help to make me less human—in the best possible way. They remind me that we're all in this together. That's what I write about, not to educate anyone or change anyone's mind. I do it because that's what I see outside my window, because their world is mine. Staring out the world has led to the writing of A Dragon's Guide to Destiny, a series that includes The Dragon Who Didn't Fly, Dance with Clouds, House of the Moon, Book of Sorrows, and Rainbow Dragon. The series also has a prequel, The Snake Charmer's Daughter. The Dragon Who Didn't Fly and The Snake Charmer's Daughter are free. I also have a dystopian series in the works. Thank you, world, for continuously providing me with material. If I live a dozen lifetimes in one, maybe all the book ideas in my head will come to life.
