I am an expert in grief. Although I have earned four college degrees, none of them gave me the tools to navigate a life of sudden turns and repeated trauma that brought grief and loss. I have learned about grief as an unwilling student in a life shaken by sudden death, suicide, and devastating illness. I have been widowed three times, and have raised five children in the midst of earthquake life changes. My story, though unique, is not so different from others.  We all face loss in our lives, and Jesus Christ is more than able to help us find our way beyond disappointment to renewal and hope.  In addition to my book, I publish a bi-weekly blog for people looking for encouragement and answers to tragedy and loss.
