I have been writing for many years, including fiction, non-fiction, articles, essays, book reviews. I have been a newspaper reporter for more than twenty years covering politics, health, business, crime, and government. I have also worked as a disc jockey, salesman, and security guard. I spent four years in the Air Force. My books are: Write the Darn Book, which helps aspiring writers turn their dreams into books; Nothing Down, a baseball novel; and Return to Dead City, a baseball mystery. I spent many frustrating years trying to get published before deciding to self-publish. I think everyone has something to say and those who really want to write can express themselves through the written word. I believe in writing that first draft of a book as quickly as possible. In that way, a writer avoids the distractions, the left-brain thinking, the so-called writers block that impedes the flow of writing. Write the Darn Book pounds that theme home to readers.
