Information
Tom S. Figueiredo is 40 years-old and lives in Brazil, where he has been professionally writing comic books, TV scripts and plays for children and teenagers for over twelve years. He has Bachelor's degrees in Portuguese Language and Literature from UFBA, and in Graphic Design from UNEB.
For many years, Tom was the main scriptwriter for A Turma do Xaxado, by Antonio Cedraz, awarded with six HQ MIX awards, in the Best Children´s Comic Book and Best Children's Graphic Novel categories. HQ MIX is one of the most important awards in Latin America, considered the Brazilian version of the Oscar for comic books. Titles from great companies such as Marvel and DC Comics also participate in this award.
Tom always think about his stories as children’s tale for people of all ages.
