I was born in Jamaica, came to Lndon, England forty years ago with my older sister to join our mother. When I left school I wanted to be an (Airhostess) Stewardess, or a fashion model and travel the world, that didn't happen so I joined a production company learned to play drums in an all-girl band. We proformed live all over Germany, Denmark and a few other european countries. I have had various other jobs/careers since then, including childminding, bar person, Typist etc. Now I am a holistic therapist, Author and Publisher. I have been writing for four years now. Authors who influence me are; Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, Langston Hughs, Maya Angelou, Louise Bennette, James Baldwin and Bessie Head. There are countless other authors, who inspire me, but these are the ones that leave their spirit dancing on the pages. I love any type of poetry, and so my first published book is entitled 'Intimate Expressions' a mixed collection of sensual poems, lyrical contents and vignettes about relationships. I have incorporated my native 'patois' in my writings.
