I felt inspired  to write articles,songs and poems 1985  to encourage and motivate others. I wrote my first poem and artilcles on a beautiful summers day. My friend Mary Thomas paid me a surprise visit, I told her about my ideas  and she thought  they were quite good. Mary then looked  at a picture on my wall, it was  a very unusual  picture of a black and white boys age aboutt six year old hugging each other as friends, asking for harmony. She then said to me Hope , please write something on those boys.The very next day I started  writing poems and articles and I have not stoppped. I write about what  about what  I see, hear, feel, dream and observe. My first set of poems  were religious and they were published by Peterborough local papers.  For years my writing was a hobby until a teacher took some of my work to her school and I was invited to the school to read to the children. My poems got me on television,  radio and  a special gift from Nelson Mandel.
