I am a hopeless entrepreneur!  For most of my adult life, I have struck out on my own trying to make my dreams come true.  Throughout my life, there have been numerous people who have helped me along the way and in their honor, I strive to help others.  Originally from New Jersey, I attended and graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, TN and Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  I now reside in Columbia, SC where I am a full-time writer.  An avid reader, I probably average almost two books a month.  The creative process and discipline necessary to write books of all types has always fascinated me to the point I wanted to not just observe the writing process, but also participate in it.  I write because I am convinced I have something positive and constructive to say and I can do so creatively.  So far, I have written 8 books.  All of my books are written for Christian readers and others who want to better understand the Christian journey.  Six of my books are non-fiction and I will continue to publish those types of books.  However, after being bitten by the fiction bug, I am looking to publish more novels in the future. Keeping with my entrepreneurial impulse, I am the owner and lead editor of Sowjourn Publishers whose tagline is: "Sowing the Journey, Reaping Our Destiny."  Seven of the eight books I've written have been published by my company.   I am always looking for new and previously unpublished authors who are committed to following through on their dreams of writing a book.
