Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Born in 1946 in a little village of Ilwaco, Washington, to an unwed 18 year old mother. From there we moved to Tacoma, Washington to be with my father. I graduated high school and joined the Navy in 1965. The Navy in its infinite wisdom decided that I would make a good missile shooter. I was sent to several schools, and upon completion, sent to USS Chicago (CG 11) in support of actions in Viet Nam. In October of 1969 I was transferred to Great Lakes Naval Training Center for advanced specialty training. It was while I was at school that I met my lovely wife, an English Nanny working in the US. We married in June of 1970 and are still married after 42 years.            While in the Navy, I was fortunate to travel the world and live in many exotic locales. I lived in Italy for two years and Japan for three. My family, which consists of my wife and two sons, had the pleasure of traveling and seeing the world.             After leaving the Navy in 1985, I got a job with a Government contractor and spent the next 23 years supporting various contracts with the military. The last 14 years of my working life, I lived and worked in England. I retired and relocated to Buena Park, California to be close to my two sons and five grandchildren.             I needed a hobby or something to do and made the decision to write a book. I contacted my best friend who I served with in the Navy and together, we wrote “Goat Locker Strikes!” The book is really a composite story of Greg and I and what we did in the Navy.
